Kilcronaghan Old Church Tobermore, Co. Derry/Londonderry

The present church ruin on the site was built in 1806, but it incorporated many earlier architectural fragments, included C13th features, such as a moulded capital & moulded window jambs. This C19th church was built in the graveyard on the same spot as the medieval church & according to the OS memoirs, the W gable & N wall of the old church were incorporated into the new one. The old church is described as "a rectangle, 52ft x 25ft, being 20 ft longer than the present one. The other parts of this old building were pulled down". The church was traditionally founded by St.Cronaghan.
