Castledawson Annaghmore 'Killeen' Burial Ground

This site is described in the OS memoirs as "...holding of John Evans there stands an ancient haw bush...The site was an old burial ground...occupied by the graves of still-born & unbaptised children. About 1780 there was 2 quern stones found at the roots of the above bush...". Local tradition located the burial ground near a house formerly owned by Evens'. The present owner has never found any human remains. There are no visible traces of the site which is set at the base of a steep, W-facing slope.
